Job Summary:

Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and engineering applications. Handle on-site and remote IT tasks, including system setup, maintenance, and network/communication device administration. Manage IT assets, software licenses, and support infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

End-User Support

  • Provide first and second-level support via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
  • Install and maintain Windows OS, MS Office, and engineering software.
  • Support Outlook, Exchange/Office 365, VPN, and remote access tools.
  • Assist with hardware deployments, tagging, and inventory.
  • Perform software updates, patching, and antivirus management.
  • Support device provisioning and user onboarding/offboarding.
  • Manage user accounts in AD, Office 365, and Azure AD.
  • Set up access rights, group memberships, and shared folder permissions.
  • Create email accounts, distribution groups, and handle password resets.
  • Implement joiner, mover, leaver (JML) processes.
  • Maintain access logs and audit records.
  • Coordinate access with HR and Security teams.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and support audits.
  • Oversee BitLocker encryption and key recovery.
  • Enforce data security and compliance with policies.

Asset & Inventory Management

  • Maintain updated inventory of IT assets (hardware/software).
  • Track and tag devices (laptops, desktops, phones, etc.).
  • Manage stock levels and order IT supplies.
  • Coordinate deployment, relocation, and disposal.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with records.
  • Monitor software license usage and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with IT audits and reporting.
  • Coordinate warranty claims and AMC renewals with OEMs (Dell, HP, Lenovo).
  • Maintain AMC/warranty documentation and vendor details.
  • Conduct periodic audits using Excel/SharePoint tools.
  • Strong vendor communication and Excel/documentation skills.

Network & Infrastructure Support

  • Install and maintain Windows Server OS (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
  • Perform backups (Azure, Windows Backup).

Guest Wi-Fi & Access Point Management

  • Maintain guest Wi-Fi with secure, restricted access.
  • Manage guest credentials and captive portals.
  • Deploy and maintain wireless APs (Cisco, Aruba, Ubiquiti, Meraki).
  • Document SSIDs, policies, and inventory.

Software Procurement & License Management

  • Install/troubleshoot licensed software (Office, Nitro PDF, AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, STAAD, TEKLA, CSI, PV Elite, etc.).
  • Coordinate purchase requests with Engineering, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Liaise with vendors for software quotes, renewals, and license keys.
  • Maintain license agreements, invoices, and renewal records.
  • Track license usage, availability, and compliance using Excel/ITAM tools.
  • Reclaim/reassign licenses on user changes.
  • Maintain documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide support for:
    • Printers and IP phones
    • Emergency IT service cases
  • Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for part replacements and support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and service logs.

Good to have skills:

  • Experience in Windows system administration or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows Server OS and Active Directory
    • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
    • Office 365, AD, VPNs, endpoint security
    • Virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Familiar with:
    • ITIL practices and change/security compliance (SOX, ISO 27001)
    • Asset management and IT ticketing systems
    • ERP platforms
  • Excellent documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks independently under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • BCA, MCA, or a bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent.

Work Conditions

  • Occasional extended hours/weekend work during emergencies or maintenance.
  • Must ensure compliance with internal security and industry standards.
